The position involves the following main activities:
• Performing specialized system activities related to the management and updating of the Fundamental Geospatial Database of the Czech Republic (ZABAGED®), in particular data validation for consistency of processing, content accuracy, completeness, positional accuracy, and compliance with topological rules,
• Responsibility for ZABAGED® data quality throughout the entire update and management process, including error evaluation, root cause analysis, and proposing measures to enhance data quality,
• Methodological management of nationwide ZABAGED® updates and related activities, including providing expert support to staff,
• Collaboration on developing and updating methodologies, definitions, rules, and technological procedures for ZABAGED® management, updating, validation, and further development, including assessing proposed changes and evaluating their impact on the data model, update and management processes, and data quality.
We require:
• Higher education degree, preferably in geography, cartography, geodesy, geoinformatics, or a related technical field,
• Proficiency in working with spatial data and GIS environments,
• Analytical and systems thinking, ability to assess data quality, identify error causes, and propose appropriate solutions,
• Ability for independent professional decision-making, methodological guidance, and clear communication of work procedures and rules,
• Attention to detail, thoroughness, responsibility, and strong communication skills.
