for the position of
Building Code Department Specialist (construction specialist)
for a fixed-term period, during long-term absence
Job Description:
Execution of delegated authority agenda in the municipal building code office in accordance with Act No. 283/2021 Coll., Building Code, as amended.
Requirements:
Education and experience qualifications according to § 30a para. 4 of Act No. 283/2021 Coll., Building Code, effective from 01.08.2025:
a) authorized architect who has been granted authorization in the field of architecture or without field specification according to the authorization act,
b) authorized engineer or authorized technician who has been granted authorization in the fields of civil engineering, transportation engineering, water management and landscape engineering structures, bridges and engineering structures, structural statics and dynamics, or urban engineering,
c) a natural person with university education in a study program belonging to the field of architecture and urbanism, construction, economics, transportation, biology, ecology and the environment, forestry and timber industry, earth sciences, or law,
d) a natural person with higher vocational education in construction, geodesy and cartography, general legal activities, public administration, or transportation, or
e) a natural person with secondary education with a school-leaving exam in construction, geodesy and land registry, or public administration.
an advantage is an administrative examination in the field of civil service, which includes building code; or an examination of special professional competence, otherwise required within 18 months of taking office,
knowledge of public administration laws is welcome (Act No. 283/2021 Coll., Building Code; Act No. 500/2004 Coll., Administrative Code; Act No. 128/2000 Coll., on Municipalities; Act No. 255/2012 Coll., on Control; all as amended),
good knowledge of PC work,
driver's license category "B" – active driver,
communicativeness, independence, ability to deal with people, loyalty and time flexibility.
Prerequisites:
A civil servant must be a Czech citizen (or a foreign national with permanent residence in the Czech Republic), at least 18 years old, capable of legal acts, of good character, fluent in the official language, and meeting other prerequisites for performing administrative activities as set out in special legal regulations.
Start date by agreement.
Salary conditions are governed by Government Regulation No. 341/2017 Coll., on salary relations of public service and administration employees, as amended, salary grade 10 - 11 (i.e. 10th salary grade: 35.840 Kč – 38.990 Kč, 11th salary grade: 35.840 Kč – 42.050 Kč depending on recognized experience). Personal allowance after induction.
