Systems Developer R and Python, data visualization – government agency in Stockholm A government agency in Stockholm is moving data processing and analysis to a shared production environment built on open source, primarily R and Python. Two ongoing projects need support in developing solutions for data visualization and review, and in adapting the proposed tools to the agency's technical environment together with architects and infrastructure teams. This role is ideal for you if you're equally comfortable with code as you are in dialogue with statisticians and business stakeholders. Quick Facts Start: October 12, 2026 Scope: 80% Location: Solna, hybrid. The office is the primary workplace three days per week, remaining time remote. Travel to the agency's office in Örebro may occur. Employment type: Subcontractor via Lynqa; we handle contracts and invoicing Assignment length: Until June 12, 2027, with option to extend up to 24 months Application deadline: September 14, 2026 What You'll Do Propose solutions for data visualization and review, with R-based alternatives examined first Evaluate simpler interactive solutions, dashboard tools, and other relevant alternatives Develop technical solutions tailored to the agency's environment together with architects and infrastructure teams Work closely with the business's statisticians and project managers for support and implementation Document progress and deliver results both verbally and in writing Requirements Minimum 2 years of documented experience programming in both R and Python, within the last 5 years Documented experience designing data visualization solutions, within the last 2 years Minimum 2 years of documented experience with ETL solutions and SQL, within the last 6 years Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written You accept the Solna office as your primary workplace three days per week Merits Minimum 3 years of experience with Power BI Minimum 3 years of experience working with SAS Minimum 3 years of experience with development related to handling large datasets Minimum 3 years of experience in assignments in organizations with more than 500 employees Application Selection is ongoing and the role may be filled before the application deadline.
