About the Position We are now seeking an accounting economist for a state authority in Stockholm. In this role, you will be part of a small finance function where you work closely with colleagues and operations to ensure efficient and quality-assured financial management. The assignment covers the rest of the year and involves broad responsibility in accounting and financial administration. The finance function is responsible for the organization's financial processes, including financing, financial accounting, management of receipts and payments, as well as follow-up, reporting, and forecasting. You will support ongoing work and contribute your expertise in the financial area. The role also involves many points of contact where you collaborate with different parts of the operations and provide support on financial matters. You participate in various parts of the governance process and contribute to the preparation of annual reports and other financial documentation. The position's tasks include: - Manage ongoing bookkeeping and receipts. - Manage and coordinate payments via accounts payable in Visma Proceedo. - Monitor and handle incoming matters in the finance function's mailbox. - Perform account reconciliations. - Handle transfers of financial results. - Participate in budget follow-up and financial reporting. - Contribute to register maintenance and other work within the finance function. Assignment Period and Scope: The position as accounting economist is a full-time consulting assignment starting 2026-10-01 and is expected to run until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension one month at a time up to three months, but at most until 2028-03-31. Work is performed at the authority's premises in Stockholm, with the possibility of remote work up to two days per week by agreement. Requirements for the Position: • Secondary education or equivalent education in the relevant field. • At least one (1) year of work experience as an accounting economist. • Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent programs. • Experience with and good knowledge of accounting systems in use, such as Unit4 ERP, Raindance, or Visma. • Good ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Meritorious: - University education in economics or equivalent education - At least three (3) years of work experience from similar work. - Experience with state accounting. - Experience working in Agresso Visma Proceedo or similar tools.
