Accounting Manager Economist

We are now expanding our organization in the accounting department and are therefore looking for an accounting manager who has full focus on accounting and quality in accounting processes. You will be part of a team that currently consists of four employees. The position is located in Piteå and you report to the Chief Financial Officer. About the Position
As an accounting manager, you are responsible for the company's accounting process. The role is both operational and strategic and involves close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and others in the organization. You have significant independent responsibility for the quality, structure, and development of accounting work.
Your Main Responsibilities
• Ensure that accounting complies with applicable legislation, accounting standards, and good accounting practice.
• Participate in preparing interim financial statements and forecasts, twice per year.
• Participate in preparing annual financial statements according to K3. The accounting year is the calendar year.
• Together with the Chief Financial Officer, be responsible for the budgeting process.
• Prepare VAT accounting and reporting to Skatteverket.
• Responsible for the fixed asset register and accounting of investments.
• Monitor the company's results against budget and forecast.
• Be driving force in developing and improving efficiency of work in the accounting department.
• Support the organization in accounting and VAT matters.
• Participate in sustainability reporting according to VSME – the company's sustainability accounting.
Who Are We Looking For?
Qualifications (Requirements)
• Degree in Business Administration and Economics, at least bachelor's level.
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting.
• Experience with independent qualified financial statement work.
• Solid knowledge of Swedish accounting legislation, accounting standards, and good accounting practice.
• Solid knowledge of Swedish tax legislation.
• Solid knowledge of the Swedish language.
• Solid knowledge of Word and Excel.
Desirable
• Experience working at an accounting firm.
• Experience working in the real estate industry.
• Experience with component depreciation (K3).
• Experience with real estate VAT.
