Region Gävleborg's healthcare advice service 1177 is part of the Digital Care operations area and has the mission to offer and ensure high-quality, safe, and accessible advice and referrals for the residents of the region. We receive calls coming in via 1177 around the clock, 365 days a year, as well as certain matters that come in through our digital platform.
Our offices are currently located in Gävle, Kilafors, and Söderhamn. Here, approximately 40 licensed nurses work to receive, assess, and provide advice on self-care and/or guide people to the right level of care. Each call is unique and we work with a focus on quality and patient safety.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Our mission is multifaceted and in the role as a nurse, you will have a varied workday where no moment and no call is the same as another. With us, you divide your working time between phone calls, chat, and video conversations. Together with experienced colleagues, you make a difference for many and with the help of well-developed support systems, you meet people in the way that best suits their needs. Remote work may be offered.
As a nursing advisor with us, you will, among other things
• conduct medical assessments
• provide methodical and structured advice
• provide self-care advice and refer to appropriate levels of care.
We conduct operations around the clock, which means that working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and night shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS
As a nurse with us, it is crucial that you manage our call process and guide the conversation with the caller in the right direction. You are attentive, listen carefully, and help the person move forward in their matter based on your expertise. Different people with different circumstances and mental states contact us, and it is important that you remain calm, convey safety, and maintain a realistic perspective in stressful situations.
Furthermore, we work in many different IT systems that you need to be able to manage. As with all technology, problems sometimes occur, and when they do, you are not afraid to search for solutions. We at 1177 have a significant role in the broader healthcare system, and it is therefore important that you see the bigger picture in your role. How we act sets the tone for people's experience of their journey into healthcare, and it is therefore crucial that we both consider the whole person but also the organization's conditions as a whole.
In the role as a nursing advisor, you should
• have Swedish nursing credentials.
Previous experience working as a nurse and/or in telephone advice services is considered advantageous for this position.
