About the Operation
Adult Psychiatry in Dalarna is a consolidated specialist operation and is part of the Division of Psychiatry and Habilitation within Health and Medical Care. The Psychiatry Clinic in Avesta is one of the clinics in Dalarna that offers psychiatric specialist care to the adult population in Avesta. The clinic has broad specialist psychiatric expertise with different professional groups working in a multidisciplinary manner, and we now want to strengthen our team with psychologists. There is an established collaboration with psychiatric inpatient care, municipalities, other health and medical care, and other stakeholders. We sometimes meet together with other psychologists in town. Avesta offers proximity to lakes, beautiful nature, and culture where you can enjoy activities such as hiking, skiing, and cycling.
Job Responsibilities
Our mission is to assess, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients with serious psychiatric conditions, with the goal of achieving good health and quality of life. The patient groups we encounter have various psychiatric conditions such as psychotic and bipolar disorder, neuropsychiatric functional impairments, PTSD, and serious depression and anxiety disorders. Within the psychology team, there is broad expertise that gives you excellent opportunities to focus on your own area of interest, such as assessment, a specific treatment method, or patient group. We have expertise in trauma treatment and we conduct various group treatments. There is potential to start several group treatments. The operation offers continuing education, supervision, and professional meetings that provide excellent development opportunities. Based on the operation's needs and your own expertise, various forms of development work may be relevant.
We work in a structured manner around case conferences.
Qualifications
Requirements:
We are seeking a licensed psychologist who works primarily with assessments.
A driver's license is required as travel during work is necessary.
Meritorious:
Specialist training in neuropsychology
Experience with serious psychiatric issues
Experience with assessment, as the majority of the position will be focused on this.
Personal Qualities:
You are expected to have good collaboration skills as the work consists of teamwork; you should also be able to work independently, be flexible, handle change, and make decisions. We place great importance on personal suitability and want you to be good at contributing to a pleasant and healthy work environment.
