Job for a Psychologist
The Social Service of Smiltene Municipality (Reg. No. 40900038133) invites a psychologist to work in Rauna Parish on a 0.5 position for an indefinite period.

Your main responsibilities:
conduct psychological consultations for Social Service clients and provide psychological assistance in situations of social and psychosocial difficulties, crisis, loss, trauma, serious illness, and other life changes;
assess the client's psychological difficulties, needs, and resources;
within your professional competence, conduct psychological assessment and, if necessary, prepare a psychologist's opinion;
prepare collaboration reports and document professional activities;
cooperate with social workers, other specialists, and institutions in addressing the client's situation.
We will value in you:
higher education corresponding to a psychologist's professional activities and registration in the Psychologists Register;
a psychologist's certificate in the relevant field of professional activities or the right to conduct professional activities under the supervision of a supervising psychologist;
skills to consult children, youth, adults, and families;
good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills;
empathy, responsibility, emotional resilience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
We will consider experience in psychological consultation, psychological assessment, or work with target groups of Social Service clients as an advantage.
An additional advantage is a psychologist's certificate in the field of clinical and health psychology or forensic psychology and at least three years of professional experience in child or family assessment.
