Be part of developing an entirely new sustainable district Landvetter Södra Utveckling is seeking a project development architect who wants to be involved in developing one of Sweden's most ambitious urban development initiatives. We are looking for you to work at the intersection of urban development, physical planning, architecture and project development – and to help shape an entirely new district from the ground up. Your Assignment As a project development architect, you will work in the project organization for Landvetter Södra and closely with the project's developers and consultants on value-creating urban development based on high quality and sustainability ambitions. You will, among other things: Drive and coordinate the preparation of planning documents and contribute to translating the project's goals, quality ambitions and implementation requirements into a robust and feasible detailed plan. Develop the municipality's own building rights through your own sketch work and early architectural studies. Work together with the project's developers and land-allocated stakeholders on value-creating urban development and high sustainability ambitions, as well as develop and test urban structures, blocks, building rights and public spaces and natural landscapes. Prepare quality and sustainability principles to ensure the project's objective of creating an enriching living environment. The role thus involves both large-scale urban development and concrete development of individual buildings and blocks. We are therefore looking for someone who can combine architectural design capability and project development with an understanding of the planning process and feasibility in the early detailed planning phase. Who are we looking for? – Requirements for the Position We are looking for someone with architectural education, education in physical planning or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent. You have at least five years of relevant professional experience and documented experience from at least two of the following three areas: Building architecture, Urban planning/physical planning, Real estate or project development. You need to have experience with detailed planning work and preparation or qualified participation in the preparation of planning documents. Since the position involves your own architectural development responsibility, you also need to have documented practical experience in architectural sketch work of buildings and building structures from a client or architect/urban planning consultant perspective, and thereby experience of projects from an implementation and developer perspective. This means you should be able to independently develop and visualize ideas and early concepts at the building level. It is a merit if you have experience from urban development projects with high quality and sustainability ambitions. Landvetter Södra is at a stage where many issues need to be resolved in parallel. One day you might work on planning requirements and urban structure together with the municipality's planning unit, and the next day sketch how one of the municipality's residential blocks or a care facility can be developed.
