Do you want to design roads, ground, and infrastructure from early feasibility studies through final detailed design? At AFRY in Skellefteå, you'll work on all aspects of exciting projects – whether you want to continue developing as a designer or eventually take the step toward a technical responsibility role. About the Role As a Road/Ground Designer, you'll work on design across the board – from concept and feasibility study to detailed design. You prepare procurement documents for tendering, create plan and profile drawings, calculate quantities, and write technical specifications. You're involved from start to finish and work on all aspects of a project, together with experienced colleagues in a broad section. Projects range from large infrastructure initiatives to the green industrial transition and municipal assignments. You start in the designer role – and if you want to move toward technical responsibility in time, there are excellent opportunities to grow into that when you've settled in. If you prefer to continue developing as a designer, that's equally welcome. Summary of Responsibilities: Design roads, ground, and infrastructure – from concept and feasibility study to detailed design Prepare procurement documents for tendering Create plan and profile drawings and calculate quantities Write technical specifications Work in BIM and digital tools, such as Novapoint, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, and OpenRail About You You're communicative both internally and externally and take responsibility for your work. We're Looking for Someone Who Has Post-secondary education in ground, infrastructure, construction, or equivalent At least 3 years of experience in road, street, or ground design – from client side, contractor, Trafikverket, or consulting firm Experience with AMA, CAD, and BIM Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written Meritorious Experience working as a consultant Familiarity with Novapoint, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or OpenRail Experience in water/wastewater or landscape design combined with ground design B-category driver's license About AFRY AFRY is a leading European engineering, design, and consulting company with nearly 19,000 employees.
