About the Role Are you our new Project Engineer for the future electrical grid? As a project engineer in the local grid division, you'll become an important part of our team with project managers, planners, and other colleagues. About the Role With us, you get a focused and technically interesting role as a Project Engineer. We've drawn a clear line between pre-project planning and detailed engineering. This means your focus is on making the major technical choices, sizing the grid, and setting the economic framework. You prepare feasibility studies and project directives of high quality—which our planners then take forward into the field for detailed planning and implementation. You'll be the key person who transforms future capacity needs into concrete, smart, and reliable grid solutions. Your contact network in this role is extensive and includes both internal and external stakeholders. We work in the NIS system dpPower. Your Primary Responsibilities Technical Sizing: Conduct grid calculations for voltage drop, loads, and short-circuit currents, and size cables, transformers, etc. according to applicable requirements and regulations Comprehensive Grid Design: Determine principal routing corridors, locate and design grid substations based on environmental requirements, master plans, and grid structure (e.g., optimal loop feeds) Rough Cost Estimation: Manage the early investment budget and set the project's economic framework Requirements Definition & Handover: Package completed project directives with technical data, operating modes, and budget limits to hand over a smooth handoff package to the planner Contribute to improving working methods and delivery quality Participate in the team's collective development and knowledge sharing Requirements We're Looking for You If: You're analytical, structured, and have a strong interest in electrical power and grid capacity. You're comfortable working at a desk with advanced systems and enjoy seeing the big picture in the grid system. We'd like you to have: Engineering degree in electrical power/energy, or equivalent competence acquired through experience in the electrical grid industry Very good understanding of electrical grid structure (local/regional grids) and electrical principles Experience with grid calculation programs and GIS systems (for example, dpPower, Netbas, or similar) Ability to perform rough cost estimates and assessments Very strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, as documentation and internal collaboration are major parts of the workday Additional Information What We Offer An opportunity to join a team that works together for safe and stable operations, thereby contributing to our customers receiving environmentally friendly energy.
