SRF Göteborg is running a digitalization project aimed at strengthening digital participation and independence for people with visual impairments. The project includes training, support, and development of accessible learning materials in digital technology, with a special focus on smart devices and emerging technology.
We are now looking for a project coordinator at 50% who wants to be part of developing and implementing the practical aspects of the project.
About the Position
As a project coordinator, you will be part of a project where technology is used to create greater independence in everyday life for people with visual impairments. You will work closely with the project manager in a practical and varied role where you both meet with people and help develop new materials.
Your work will include:
- Providing digital support and helping participants find solutions that work in their daily lives
- Planning and conducting workshops and try-it-out activities
- Training in the use of smart devices such as smartwatches, smart glasses, and other wearables
- Creating clear instructions and participating in the production of instructional videos
- Contributing to building the project's digital knowledge bank
The role is broad and will develop in line with the project, the technology, and the participants' needs.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in digital technology who enjoys helping others discover and use it. You are pedagogical, patient, and able to explain technical matters in a simple, clear, and adapted way.
You learn new digital solutions easily, and we would appreciate it if you have knowledge or experience in one or more areas such as iOS, Android, screen readers, smart devices, AI services, or computers like PC or Mac.
It is a merit if you have experience in training or technical support, particularly in digital accessibility or working with people with visual impairments. Experience in film, audio, video editing, or digital publishing is also a plus.
We would appreciate it if you yourself have a visual impairment. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
As a person, you are curious about new technology, self-directed, service-oriented, solution-focused, and well-organized. You are comfortable meeting people with varying levels of digital experience and can adapt your explanations to the person you are helping.
Please note that guide dogs are present in our facilities and are allowed to be in our workplace.
Working hours are primarily scheduled on weekdays, but activities on evenings or weekends may occur.
Application: Send your CV and a brief introduction about yourself where you explain why you are interested in the position and what experience you have with digital technology, training, or support.
Selections will be made continuously during the application period. The position may therefore be filled before the final application deadline.
