Description To the Rural Development Unit, we are now seeking a project-employed project manager for our project activities. The unit has 18 employees working with, among other things, projects, administration and control of agricultural support, and administration of projects and investment support. The unit works to ensure that EU and Sweden's agricultural and rural policy has an impact at the regional level. Work Tasks Your main tasks will be to serve as project manager for the project "A Rich Cultivation Landscape" (Ett rikt odlingslandskap) with the aim of offering the county's farmers competence development in "Environment and Climate." Your work will be both strategic and operational, with responsibility for driving the projects from planning through implementation, reporting, and follow-up. About the projects: The projects "A Rich Cultivation Landscape," "Organic Production," and "Greppa näringen" aim to promote biological diversity in the cultivation landscape and environmentally and climate-smart agriculture. The project will include competence development and information initiatives for agricultural and horticultural enterprises as well as organizations and associations managing agricultural land in Dalarna. The project manager's responsibility is project management, collaboration, planning, administration, and responsibility for direct procurement of project activities. The work tasks will involve close collaboration with other departments at the County Administrative Board, authorities, regional and municipal actors, industry representatives, and farms and rural business enterprises. This includes, among other things: Implement activities that contribute to achieving the environmental goals "A Rich Cultivation Landscape," "Toxin-Free Environment," and "No Eutrophication." Carry out initiatives aimed at increasing biological diversity in the cultivation landscape while simultaneously promoting food production in Dalarna in line with the Food Strategy's objectives. Perform administrative tasks related to project activities. Coordinate, plan, and carry out activities such as courses, lectures, workshops, and study trips. Directly procure lecturers and course instructors from external actors. Plan, organize, and lead internal and external meetings and processes. Qualifications You must have: Relevant education from a university or college or equivalent experience in agriculture, biological diversity, rural development, and project management or other experience deemed equivalent. Experience with project management and collaboration between different actors and stakeholders. Documented and relevant experience working with issues related to ecological diversity and/or horticulture or crop cultivation. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Class B driver's license. It is meriting if you have: Good knowledge of food strategy work both nationally and regionally. Good ability to work results- and goal-oriented. Previously worked within public administration or an authority. Worked in EU-financed projects. Previous experience organizing competence development activities.
