The Community Development Administration is responsible for physical planning, technical management of properties and streets, facility maintenance and meal services, as well as handling matters within planning and construction. The Community Development Administration consists of five units: planning, construction and MEX, facility maintenance, two meal service units, and the technical unit, which includes streets/parks and properties. Therefore, we are now seeking an experienced construction project manager who, with drive and commitment, wants to take responsibility for the municipality's construction and property projects. The assignment extends from idea and needs analysis to completed construction and includes overall responsibility for project implementation, with focus on quality, economics, and operational benefit. You will become part of our technical unit, which consists of 26 employees in both property management and streets and parks, but also work with other colleagues within the Community Development Administration and contracted entrepreneurs. Job Description You will work in a politically governed organization where collaboration with internal and external contacts is a natural part of daily work. You present projects to the Community Development Board, are responsible for building permit processes and authority contacts, and coordinate and lead consultants, contractors, and internal project groups. Munkedals Municipality faces major projects including new construction as well as renovation of schools and elderly care homes, where you as project manager will have a central role. The position involves a broad variety of tasks and a high degree of independent work, which in turn requires high standards of responsibility. You have the ability to identify operational needs and then convert them into feasible projects. You are responsible for designing and leading construction projects from preliminary study to final delivery, including preparing estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts. You also ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with laws, regulations, schedules, and budgets, and you are responsible for final inspections, handovers, and follow-up. The role also includes responsibility for conducting status assessments and inventorying the technical condition of properties, as well as developing long-term maintenance plans and investment documents. You will also prepare request specifications and construction documents, and participate in procurement and contractor matters. Qualifications We are looking for you who: have relevant education in construction, property, community development, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. have substantial experience in project management within the construction or property sector. have good knowledge of AMA, AB04, ABT06, and ABK09. have a B driving license. have experience working in a politically governed organization (meriting). have experience with public projects such as school and healthcare facility construction (meriting). have certification in project management such as IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2, SBR, or equivalent (meriting). have training in BAS-P and BAS-U (meriting). have experience with the Public Procurement Act (meriting).
