Design Manager and Construction Manager Building for Trafikverket for a strategic assignment within Västlänken, Haga project, Rosenlund subproject. The assignment involves initial responsibility as design manager for Haga Station, with a gradual transition to the role of construction manager when the project enters the production phase. The role ensures continuity and knowledge transfer throughout the project's lifecycle. This is a consulting assignment with a duty station in Göteborg and requires physical presence at Trafikverket's project office five days per week. Assignment start: 2026-11-01. Utilization rate is 80-100% of full-time. During November 2026, a minimum of 25% is accepted, during December a minimum of 50%, and during January 2027 a minimum of 75%. About the Company Trafikverket is responsible for long-term planning of the transport system for road traffic, rail traffic, maritime and aviation. The Västlänken program is implementing one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects to increase capacity and improve travel options in the Göteborg region. About the Role The role encompasses both design management and construction management for Haga Station in the Rosenlund subproject. You will work closely with designing consultants, contractors, and Trafikverket's project organization to ensure high quality, good progress, and effective technical solutions. The assignment involves significant independent responsibility, a proactive working approach, and extensive collaboration with many different stakeholders in a technically complex and socially important project. Role and Responsibilities Plan and lead the design work with contracted consultants. Be responsible for the design content, progress, and deliverables. Coordinate design with the contractor to achieve effective technical solutions. Plan, lead, and document design meetings. Identify, analyze, and manage technical issues and interfaces. Participate in material planning and technical documentation for procurement related to structural completion. Participate in the project's risk management. Ensure that regulatory and legal requirements are met. Lead review processes and coordinate acceptance inspections. Manage interfaces with other subprojects within Haga and the Västlänken program. Participate in schedule and production planning. Ensure that the contractor has the right conditions for work execution. Monitor that the contract work is performed according to contract, drawings, and technical requirements. Review control plans and work methods. Conduct inspections and report and manage deviations. Participate in environmental and occupational health rounds. Ensure that required permits are in place. Follow up on quality documentation and schedules. Review logbooks and invoices. Handle change order matters with the contractor. Perform other tasks delegated by the production manager. Competency Requirements 1. Academic education in construction/civil engineering of 180/240 credits (higher education or civil engineer degree) or equivalent education and experience. 2. At least 4 years of documented experience in a leading design role in building construction within the last 12 years. 3. At least 4 years of documented experience as a construction manager or equivalent role in building construction. 4. At least 2 years of experience as a design manager and/or construction manager in a railway station project with a contract value of at least 300 million kronor. 5. Documented experience in occupational health and safety work. 6. Good knowledge of Trafikverket's technical regulations. 7. Good knowledge of contract law and standard contracts such as AB, ABT, ABK, AMA, and MER. 8. Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Desirable Requirements 1. Documented experience from at least one building construction project coordinating and planning material requirements and preparing documentation for procurement of materials within structural completion for at least one year. 2. Documented experience from at least three assignments with good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act as well as formal permit and regulatory processes, equivalent to requirements for Authorized Inspector competency K.
