Our client is a global technology company at the forefront of innovation and advanced technology. Within R&D, tomorrow's products and solutions are being developed, and as a Project Manager in Prototype & Production Technology, you'll play a central role in ensuring that prototypes become reality on time, with the right materials, and with the right quality.
About the Role
We're looking for a Project Manager for Lead & Logistics for a parental leave cover position based in Kista. You'll be part of a team of approximately 13 people within Prototype & Production Technology, which is part of R&D. Here you'll have the opportunity to work in the thick of things, close to both production, engineering, and product development. You'll be involved in work with the latest technologies and products.
In the role, you'll work with planning and coordinating prototypes that are heading into production. You'll quickly find yourself in the heat of the action and have significant independent responsibility, while working closely with two other project managers.
This is a role for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. Proximity to production is important, and the position requires 100% on-site presence in Kista. You need to be unpretentious and comfortable moving around in the production environment, handling materials, and solving practical problems as they arise. As a Project Manager, you're responsible for driving and coordinating prototype builds from planning through execution. You work closely with operations and ensure that the right materials and components are in place when needed.
You will, among other things:
Create and follow up on production and prototype plans
Coordinate material needs and work closely with procurement
Follow up on deliveries and ensure material availability
Work hands-on and solve practical problems in production
Coordinate activities between production, planning, procurement, and design
Communicate status, risks, and progress in various forums
Present plans and status to different stakeholders
Handle multiple parallel activities and quickly shift between different priorities
Identify issues and independently drive solutions forward
Contribute to developing and improving working methods within Lead & Logistics
We're Looking for You If
You have a background as, for example, a technical project manager or similar, and have an understanding of production and production-related processes. You need to have a clear production mindset and thrive in an environment where planning, materials, technology, and practical implementation meet.
We'd like to see that you have:
Experience in technical project management, production, or production planning
Understanding of production and material flows
Experience working closely with procurement and other cross-functional teams
Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office
Very good Swedish in speech and writing
Ability to understand and communicate in English
About You
To succeed in this role, you're independent, driven, and unpretentious. You don't wait for someone else to solve the problem—you take action and drive things forward.
You're stress-resistant and comfortable juggling multiple tasks at once. When circumstances change, you can quickly reprioritize and keep focus on what needs to be done. You're also curious and solution-oriented. You enjoy understanding how things work and have no problem going down to the production floor, talking with different departments, and figuring out what needs to be done yourself. Since the role involves reporting and presenting in various forums, you're comfortable communicating and presenting to different types of stakeholders. You can adapt your communication to your audience and situation, and feel confident explaining status, challenges, and next steps. Above all, you're someone who thrives being in the thick of things. You want to get close to operations, work together with planners, procurement specialists, and designers, and have the opportunity to be part of when new and advanced products take the step from development to prototype and production.
This is an opportunity for you to work close to both R&D and production, take significant independent responsibility, and play a central role in working with some of the latest technologies and products. You'll quickly get to make an impact, be close to decisions, and drive the work forward from day one. This is a consulting assignment via Adecco expected to last 10 months, and the work will be performed on-site at the client's location in Kista.
