About the job The Swedish Tax Agency's IT department is one of Sweden's largest and works with a modern and complex IT environment. The Swedish Tax Agency's Technical Service Unit (STT) is part of the IT department and is responsible for development, maintenance, operations, and delivery of IT services to several government agencies. We work with complex solutions built on leading technology with a focus on ensuring stability and very high requirements for availability and IT security. In the role of Shellscript Programmer, you will be part of a skilled batch team within Operations, consisting of six colleagues. You will have an important role where your work has direct significance for accessible, stable, and secure operations. The team is responsible for tasks related to approximately eighty mission-critical system areas and works continuously to ensure high quality and reliability in deliveries. Beyond your immediate team colleagues, you will collaborate with other teams within multiple application development units. Examples of system areas include MAGI (VAT and employer declarations), Tax Account, Property, and Tina (income declarations). We work in a terminal environment and you are responsible for scheduling existing batches, creating new batch scripts, and automating them. You will also work with manual job launches for, for example, test runs as well as with incident and problem management. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and other functions in the organization, where you contribute your expertise to ensure stable and efficient operations. About you To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In this job you should: - be able to analyze information flows, see connections, patterns, and make delimitations - be able to work in a structured way by planning and documenting your work carefully - be results-oriented and contribute to achieving the purpose of the organization as well as be able to look at both the group's and your own performance - act consciously and professionally - have good collaboration skills, be helpful, and have good conduct - express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. You should also have: - relevant higher education in IT, or alternatively several years of work experience in the above areas that the employer deems relevant - relevant and documented experience and knowledge in Unix or Linux as well as shellscript programming. It is desirable that you have relevant and practical experience with batch processing. Good to know The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security check with register verification according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision.
