About the Role
As a product development engineer/designer at Combi Wear Parts, you'll have a varied and developmental role where you work broadly within design, planning and product development. You'll follow products through their entire lifecycle – from idea and design to industrialization and follow-up in production and the field.
You'll work with new designs and further development of the company's steel wear parts, with a focus on creating robust and sustainable solutions for demanding environments. The role also includes casting simulation, technical planning and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure high quality and efficient production.
An important part of the work is staying close to production and actively participating in troubleshooting and improvement efforts. You'll collaborate with colleagues in engineering, quality and production, as well as with external suppliers and pattern makers. The role also includes some technical support to the sales organization.
You'll be part of a small, competent engineering team with both junior and more experienced colleagues, where knowledge sharing and collaboration are central. The organization is flat, which gives you good opportunities to influence and quickly see the results of your work. There are about 30 salaried employees and 50-60 hourly employees in the organization – giving you the opportunity to build a broad and valuable internal network.
Your Profile
We're looking for a curious and solution-oriented engineer with a genuine interest in technology, production and product development. You thrive in a role where you can combine theoretical thinking with practical work and have a desire to understand how products function in real-world conditions. You have the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks without losing focus, and you're driven by solving problems and improving existing solutions.
Requirements:
You have post-secondary education in, for example, mechanical engineering, materials science, CAD design or equivalent, or you have acquired equivalent experience through work.
Several years of experience in design and working with CAD programs
Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written
Class B driver's license
Merits:
Similar experience from manufacturing industry, especially within steel, foundries or process industry
Knowledge of CREO, PDM Link, Monitors project module
