About us:
Carlssons RPS AB develops, manufactures, and installs systems for server integration in data centers as well as accessories to achieve energy-efficient cooling under the brand Rack Panel Systems.
We are in a strong expansion phase and are now seeking an additional curious and driven product developer to join our team – a role with responsibility, variety, and opportunities to impact future energy consumption in data centers.
As a product developer with us, you will become a key person in the entire development chain – from idea to finished product. You will work closely with customers, the production team in Hudiksvall, our product developers, and our installers on-site.
At a varied pace, you will manage your own planning, coordinate with colleagues, and collaborate with the product development team. We value organization, discipline, and teamwork skills, as well as of course high work ethic. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
You will:
Develop new products and system solutions
Improve and further develop our current product range
Work on design solutions for installation at customer sites
Create and update technical documentation
Contribute to sales work both in Sweden and internationally
Maintain contact with our customers
You will also work closely with our production and machinery, which includes punch presses, laser cutters, and bending machines.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking someone who is solution-oriented, self-driven, and at the same time a team player. You have a passion for product development and can handle varying tempos where solutions sometimes need to quickly go from idea to reality.
We would like to see that you have:
Engineering education or equivalent experience in product development
Good experience with 3D CAD, preferably Autodesk and/or SolidWorks
Experience in metal processing is a merit
Ability to think in systems – not just components
A structured work approach and ability to document and communicate your solutions
Interest in customer contact and technical sales
The position is based at our newly built office and warehouse in Gävle. You will have regular travel to our production facility in Hudiksvall as well as to our customers, primarily in the Gävle area. International travel may also become relevant as our exports to Europe grow.

Other information:
Most installations take place in the Gävle, Valbo, and Sandviken areas, but we also work in Malmö and other locations in Sweden, as well as internationally. We are looking for someone living in the Gävle, Valbo, and Sandviken area.
Carlsson RPS AB is a family business headquartered with office and production in Hudiksvall. We currently have 60 employees. We have a newly built office and warehouse in Gävle that serves as a base for our installers, close to some of the data centers we work with. We share a common goal: to reduce energy consumption for racks in data centers through quality and continuous improvement.
