Do you want to be part of developing the travel products and services of the future at SJ - at a time when the company is facing historic expansion? SJ is undergoing a comprehensive transformation of its train fleet with investments of approximately 19 billion kronor. The initiative includes both the purchase of new trains and extensive upgrades to the existing vehicle fleet. This means major changes in how future travel will be designed and creates entirely new opportunities to develop SJ's travel products, services, and customer offerings. We are now looking for a Product Manager who wants to drive this development forward and contribute to SJ's shift toward more conceptual product management, where customer experience, packaging, and holistic offerings take on even greater importance. Your upcoming role As a Product Manager, you will work to develop and further develop SJ's commercial travel products and services, both in the short and long term. You will follow the entire product lifecycle, from needs identification, ideas, and business case analysis to development, implementation, management, and follow-up. A central part of the role is balancing customer needs, business considerations, profitability, and feasibility, and translating these into offerings that work for both customers and the organization. You will also be an important part of SJ's shift toward more conceptual product management. This means developing and packaging products and services so that they become clear, attractive, and cohesive. The goal is to create a strong overall experience around the offering, not just a functional product. The role involves many touchpoints and close collaboration with several parts of the business. You will work cross-functionally with colleagues in areas such as Commercial Traffic, Traffic & Service, and Vehicles to develop and improve SJ's offerings. You will, among other things: drive the development, launch, management, and further development of SJ's travel products and services develop and package offerings based on customer needs and commercial potential contribute to the development of more conceptual product management lead major cross-functional product and business initiatives use customer insights, business data, and market analysis to identify new opportunities ensure that target images and development plans are anchored with relevant stakeholders set requirements and collaborate with different parts of the organization to move initiatives through to implementation. You will become part of Product & Concept within Commercial Traffic. The team's mission is to ensure that SJ offers attractive and competitive travel products and services that meet customer needs, can be delivered efficiently, and create profitability. Expectations of the person we are seeking We are looking for someone with several years of experience in product or service development, business development, project management, or similar qualified work. You have experience with commercial packaging and conceptualization and are accustomed to translating customer needs and insights into concrete offerings and solutions. You also need experience working in a larger and complex organization where many perspectives, dependencies, and stakeholders need to be managed. You are comfortable navigating environments where processes and mandates are not always clearly defined and where progress requires both collaboration and personal initiative. We would like you to have experience from the travel industry, hospitality, hotels, or other businesses where customer experience is created in the interaction between a digital service and a physical delivery. It is an advantage if you understand the complexity of making these two parts work together. We believe you have: approximately five years of experience in product or service development, business development, project management, or similar experience with commercial packaging and conceptualization experience with customer-centered development and translating customer needs into concrete solutions familiarity with driving cross-functional initiatives in a complex organization the ability to navigate among many stakeholders and create momentum a good understanding of business, customer experience, and commercial development academic education or equivalent relevant work experience.
