About the position Karolinska is taking the next step in scheduling by implementing a common scheduling tool and standardized approaches for all clinical operations. You will work in the Center for Scheduling, which is part of the Production and Monitoring unit within the Production Division. Together with the team, you will work on process development and change management within the scheduling process, focusing on both processes, working methods, and tools. Your responsibilities include: - implementing, training, and providing support to clinical operations on the use of the Tessa scheduling tool - supporting clinical operations in developing good practices for strategic, tactical, and operational scheduling - enabling structured monitoring and driving continuous data-driven process improvement. The Center for Scheduling is tasked with developing the hospital-wide scheduling process and supporting clinical operations with scheduling at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels. The goal is to create common working methods, reduce administration, and enable consistent monitoring of resource use linked to Karolinska's mission in production, education, and research. To ensure operations can use a well-adapted system, we also work on system development by collecting and considering operational needs so these can be prioritized and specified to the system vendor. The assignment also includes contributing the scheduling perspective to hospital-wide processes within Karolinska's model for production and financial management. This is a fixed-term full-time position for 12 months, with a start date by agreement. Qualifications Requirements: - at least three years of experience in scheduling at strategic, tactical, and operational levels - experience working on projects and/or change initiatives, or completed education in project management methodology - experience working with the Tessa scheduling and time system - experience working with the PA system Heroma - relevant education or equivalent experience. Merits: - experience with scheduling in healthcare - experience with tasks involving leading others through change and new working methods - experience specifying requirements for system development, for example by submitting requirements to IT departments and/or system vendors - experience working in a large and complex organization and at interfaces between different operations.
