Company Description Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 700 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that provides training for personnel in Swedish nuclear power, supplies nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and executes projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staff, and stakeholders. This includes activities such as development and provision of training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development, nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments. Focus within the business unit Vattenfall Power Solutions is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We actively work with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and expertise create significant value for Vattenfall and its initiatives. About the Role Do you want to work with technical solutions that contribute to safe, stable, and future-proof energy production? As a processing engineer at Vattenfall Power Solutions, you will work on an assignment basis in varied and socially important projects of various sizes within areas such as nuclear power and hydropower. You will become part of the Mech & Process East group, where you work alongside experienced specialists in mechanical and process engineering. Here you will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge with colleagues and both broaden and deepen your expertise in process, system, and mechanical design. The role suits you if you appreciate technical variety and the opportunity to follow solutions from investigation to implementation. As a processing engineer, you will work with technical investigations, design, and modifications to existing facilities. The assignments vary in scope and technical content and can be carried out both independently and together with colleagues from different technical areas. Your responsibilities include: identifying and investigating needs for changes, improvements, and modifications to process engineering and mechanical systems developing technical solutions based on requirements, design conditions, and facility needs working with process, system, and mechanical design providing technical support and conducting investigations for operations and maintenance organizations developing technical documentation, requirement specifications, and materials for operations and maintenance instructions participating in technical procurements and maintaining contact with suppliers planning and advancing your assignments in close collaboration with clients and colleagues sharing experiences and technical knowledge to contribute to the group's and organization's continued development. Assignments are carried out within various parts of Vattenfall's operations, and part of your working time will be spent on-site with the client. We know that our employees are key to our success. Requirements We are looking for someone who has: a university or master's degree in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, energy systems, or process chemistry, or equivalent competence acquired in another way experience working with process, system, or mechanical design very good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written good knowledge of English for supplier contacts and collaboration with international colleagues. If you have experience from nuclear power or particularly relevant expertise in areas such as turbines, the role may suit you even if you are relatively early in your career development. If you lack experience from nuclear power, we would like you to have several years of relevant experience from the process industry, energy production, or other comparable technical operations. It is advantageous if you have experience with: turbines, generators, diesel engines, or other rotating or system-related equipment technical investigations or facility modifications development of requirement specifications or technical procurement materials supplier contacts. To thrive in the role, you are curious and interested in understanding both the technology and the organization's needs. You take initiative, work systematically, and drive your matters forward. At the same time, you are receptive and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, clients, and suppliers. Because assignments vary, you need to be able to adapt your working approach when assignments, technical areas, or workplaces change. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, learning from others' experiences, and contributing to open and helpful collaboration.
