Outokumpu in Avesta is now seeking a Process Group Manager for Stålverket, Hot- and Cold Rolling. About the role
As Process Group Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing a section within Stålverket toward established goals in safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
You have a central role in daily operations and work closely with both production, maintenance, and other support functions to create the best possible conditions for safe and efficient operations. The role involves both operational leadership and a long-term focus on development and improvement work.
Your areas of responsibility
You have overall responsibility for your production area, your employees, and the results of the operation.
This includes, among other things, that you:
lead, coach, and develop employees within your process group
are responsible for work environment, safety, and external environment within your area
ensure stable, safe, and quality production
drive and prioritize development and improvement work
plan and lead operations during planned and unplanned shutdowns
collaborate closely with the maintenance organization to optimize plant availability
ensure that manufacturing regulations, instructions, and safety procedures are followed and developed
are responsible for skills development and long-term staffing planning within the group
contribute to implementation and development of Avesta Works management system
foster a culture characterized by collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
engineering education, preferably in materials engineering, metallurgy, or equivalent
experience from process industry, manufacturing industry, or other production-related activities
experience with or a strong interest in leadership and personnel development
good understanding of safety, quality, and improvement work
good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
As a person, you are initiative-taking, structured, and solution-oriented. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and enjoy working with many contact points. You see opportunities for improvement and are motivated by creating results together with others.
