Stockholm Djurkremering is growing and seeking a new team member for our crematorium in Saltsjö-Boo. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, thorough, and responsible, and who enjoys practical work where great respect and care are paramount. Working with us involves an important and respectful mission. You will care for deceased companion animals and maintain contact with veterinary clinics and sometimes pet owners. Since our customers are often in a sensitive situation, we place great emphasis on personal suitability, good judgment, and empathetic and professional conduct. About the Position: Part-time, approximately 50% Work is primarily scheduled Monday–Wednesday Work hours are somewhat flexible After training, the role involves some independent work Heavy lifting occurs regularly Thorough introduction and training will be provided on-site The workplace is primarily our crematorium in Saltsjö-Boo and occasionally on the road in a vehicle Responsibilities Your tasks will include: Performing cremations Operating and maintaining the crematorium equipment Performing minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and practical tasks in the facility Receiving animals brought to the crematorium When needed, collecting deceased animals from veterinary clinics around Stockholm You do not need previous cremation experience – we will train you from the ground up. What We're Looking For We believe you are someone who enjoys working independently and who sees what needs to be done. You are thorough, reliable, and comfortable taking responsibility. It is important that you feel comfortable handling deceased animals and that you understand the respect and care the work requires. We also appreciate if you are practical-minded and technologically interested. You don't need to be a trained technician, but perhaps you are someone who likes to understand why a machine isn't working, enjoys tinkering and fixing things, and learns easily how technical equipment functions. Experience with machinery, mechanics, burners, vehicles, facility maintenance, or similar is a plus, but not required.
