House of Renewal of Traditions, Ecology and Culture (DOTEK) in Horní Maršov
We are looking for a new colleague who enjoys communicating with people as an information worker and guide. Become part of a team that showcases the beauty and traditions of the Krkonoše Mountains.
Work suitable for university students or retirees.
What you will do:
- Provide information primarily about eastern Krkonoše, natural and cultural attractions within our InfoColonial (= tourist information center) focused on promoting responsible tourism.
- Conduct visitors through the DOTEK house and grounds.
- Maintain the exhibition and promotional materials (ongoing monitoring, keeping things organized).
- Take care of visitor comfort and accommodated guests (accommodation services, reception, reservation system).
- Provide additional services related to info center operations - sale of tourist merchandise, regional products, light refreshments, administration related to info center operations (cash register, inventory).
- Participate in programs and events for the public (organizational assistance, and after training there is the possibility to participate in expert guidance if interested).
What we expect:
- Your work commitment of at least 4 weekend days or holidays per month + weekdays according to agreed contract scope.
- At least secondary school education.
- Basic knowledge of English or German.
- Pleasant demeanor, responsibility and willingness to work with people.
- Knowledge primarily of eastern Krkonoše and tourism issues.
DOTEK is open to visitors daily from 9 to 5 p.m. (September - May), or from 9 to 6 p.m. (June - August).

What we offer:
- Starting basic gross salary 26,000-32,000 Kč for full-time employment (according to education and experience) + personal bonus. Work is available on part-time basis, minimum contract size 0.25 (40 hours) by agreement, also possible as independent contractor work. After agreement, subsequent expansion to a larger contract supplemented with additional activities is possible.
