Duties
The position involves experimental research on bio-based functional carbon materials, including biochar, graphite, graphene, and activated carbon. The work includes material preparation and modification through thermal and catalytic processes as well as activation and purification, followed by structural, chemical, and functional characterization. The postdoctoral researcher will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of relevant laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
The position also includes supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, participation in scientific publications and research applications, as well as certain administrative support for research activities.
Qualifications
Requirements
Completed doctoral degree or foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree. This qualification requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made.
Strong English language skills, both oral and written, as required in daily work.
Experience with biomass conversion, catalytic graphitization, activation, purification, or exfoliation of carbon materials.
Experience with characterization methods such as Raman spectroscopy, XRD, SEM/TEM, BET surface analysis, TGA, or elemental analysis.
Experience supervising undergraduate or graduate students.
Experience with electrochemical testing, adsorption studies, or other application-oriented evaluation of carbon materials.
Meritorious
At the application deadline, no more than three years since the doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree was completed.
Experience supervising undergraduate or graduate students.
Experience participating in or leading research projects.
Knowledge of advanced characterization methods for carbon materials.
Experience with research-related administrative tasks, such as project coordination and reporting.
Strong scientific publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
Awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with particular focus on gender equality.

About the Employment
