ABOUT THE JOB Would you like a job where you can make a real difference every day? We're now looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the daily life of a cheerful, active, and energetic guy with Down syndrome. With us, you'll have varied and meaningful work where you help him create a safe, fun, and functioning everyday life. Your tasks will include support with meals and personal hygiene, communication using sign language, and planning fun and developmental activities. You always work together with a colleague, and together you create a positive and safe environment for both the customer and each other. Our customer lives an active life with lots of movement, play, and outdoor activities. He enjoys long walks, playing in nature, and action-packed days. During summer, swimming at the beach and in the pool at home are high on his favorite list. The work therefore involves a lot of time outdoors in all kinds of weather, from sunny summer days to rainy autumn walks, which gives you fresh air and daily exercise as a natural part of the job. The work is based at the customer's home just outside Norrköping. The area offers proximity to nature and great opportunities for outdoor activities, while also having good connections to Norrköping. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU We're looking for someone who is playful, patient, flexible, and confident in yourself. You need to feel comfortable in an active daily routine and have good physical fitness since the work involves a lot of movement and time outdoors. The customer has lots of energy and can sometimes be quick and impulsive, which means it's important that you are attentive, present, and always nearby. Our customer is the sunshine and main person in our team, which is why it's important that you have a genuine interest in helping and supporting him to give him the best conditions for a meaningful everyday life, in both good and challenging times. He is a person with lots of energy and a big heart, but like all people, he has his moments of defiance and challenges, which is why it's important that you feel calm and confident in yourself. Pedagogical knowledge and experience in care and healthcare are merits, as is experience with sign language and low-arousal approaches. If you lack experience, we'll provide training and support along the way—what's most important is your personality, attitude, and ability to build a good relationship with our customer. WORKING HOURS AND POSITION Working hours are distributed across days and evenings, and every other weekend. The position is 80% with the possibility of extra shifts.
