Are you a confident person who wants to make a positive difference for our tenants?
Have you previously worked in crime prevention or safety—or studied subjects like sociology or criminology and want to put your knowledge into practice? We're now seeking security officers for our teams in Districts North and West.
Make an important impact as a security officer with us
As a security officer at Poseidon, you'll help maintain calm in our neighborhoods during evenings and weekends, after our daytime staff have left. The work combines service, relationship-building, and practical efforts in our properties and outdoor areas.
You'll patrol courtyards, stairwells, and basements, working according to our concept Clean, Whole, and Neat, which means addressing minor deficiencies, removing trash and fire hazards, and reporting issues that need follow-up. We work with quick pathways from discovery to action to create high service levels and safety for our tenants.
An important part of the role is being a role model and relationship-builder
Through your presence in the area, safety walks, and collaboration with other actors, you and your colleagues in the Safety Team contribute to good relationships with residents. You always work together with other security officers and with support from a supervising security coordinator to whom you also report. Together, you're part of the solution for Poseidon's long-term goal of creating safe and pleasant living environments.
Most importantly, you and your team help achieve our ultimate goal: that Poseidon is no longer on the Police's list of particularly vulnerable areas in Gothenburg in 2030.
Fair-minded and Listening with Clear Boundaries
We're looking for someone with experience in crime prevention or safety work, social services, or skilled trades—or someone who has studied subjects like sociology or criminology and wants to develop in this field.
As a person, you're fair-minded, confident, and a good listener with an easy way of building new relationships. You have a high service orientation and a solution-focused and flexible work approach. You inspire confidence, are clear, and have the ability to set boundaries respectfully. Understanding of different cultures and social structures is important, as is expressing yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Additional language skills are a plus. Experience from the public sector, nonprofit organizations, or collaboration with police and municipality is also a plus.
At Poseidon, we see diversity as a strength and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences. What matters most is your personal suitability and drive. Here you'll have the opportunity to contribute and work for an even better Gothenburg. We're making space for you!
Teamwork on Evenings and Weekends
The positions are full-time temporary contracts with start date as soon as possible or by arrangement. Working hours are 15.00–23.00 on evenings and weekends according to a rotating 6-week schedule. Employment for work as needed with hourly pay may also be available.
Quality assurance of the recruitment process for final candidates is conducted through background checks.
