We at Orkla Foods FoodSolutions are one of the Nordic region's leading producers of food for restaurants and institutional kitchens. We develop products, concepts, and solutions that simplify daily operations in large kitchens and help our customers create great meal experiences.
We are now looking for a Portfolio Manager where you will have a key role in developing and driving a product portfolio with a focus on quality, growth, and profitability. You work strategically and insight-driven – close to both internal teams and external partners – and help shape the future offering within FoodSolutions.
About the role
As a Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for driving and developing your product portfolio according to category strategies so that set growth and profitability targets are achieved. You work with categories from a strategic perspective, based on insights about the market, customers, and competition. With us, you become part of one of Sweden's largest food producers. Here's what you'll have the opportunity to work with:
Develop category and portfolio plans for the short and long term, based on our model for strategic portfolio management
Collect, analyze, and translate insights into clear initiatives that develop the category
Have overall responsibility for growth and profitability within your categories
Conduct assortment analyses and work continuously with assortment management
Initiate and drive portfolio development: new product launches, relaunches, cost-saving initiatives, and product discontinuations
Work cross-functionally within the company with own categories in relevant forums and meetings
Take responsibility for packaging design and drive work related to product updates for launches and changes
Drive smaller projects independently and actively contribute to FoodSolutions' overall objectives
Profile description:
We are looking for you who
To succeed in this role, we believe you are both strategic and analytical, and that you enjoy driving things forward together with others. It is advantageous if you have experience from Foodservice, FMCG, and/or from the food industry. Furthermore, we see that you have:
Understanding of the FoodSolutions market
Experience in category development
Experience in marketing work
An academic degree (for example, a degree in business administration) or equivalent
Good business understanding (how value is created and how costs arise)
Ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing (Swedish and English)
