VA Nordic is an expanding group within water and wastewater technology with approximately 250 employees and annual revenue of 900 MSEK. The significant investment needs within Swedish water infrastructure create a long-term strong market and mean that the group has many interesting projects ahead. To the group's subsidiary VA Gruppen Entreprenad, we are now seeking a driven and business-minded Site Manager who wants to lead our projects with quality and clarity!
About the Role
As a Site Manager with us, you have a central role where you lead, plan and drive projects within construction and infrastructure – from start to handover. You hold overall responsibility for your projects, which means you ensure that production, quality, work environment and finances follow the contract and schedule.
Here you are offered great freedom with responsibility. You work closely with clients, often municipalities or major construction companies, subcontractors and above all our own skilled tradespeople. Your day-to-day work will be varied with a mix of office work and presence in production.
We are looking for someone who thrives in an environment where organization and order are just as important as having fun at work. You coordinate and hold together the daily work so that our equipment operators and plumbers always have the right conditions to do a good job. For the right person, there is an opportunity to manage larger and more complex water and infrastructure projects. Position in northern or southern Skåne.
Your Main Responsibilities
Plan, lead and monitor production in one or several parallel projects.
Manage project finances: forecasts, change order handling, invoicing and final settlement.
Lead and motivate the work team on site.
Ongoing dialogue and construction meetings with clients and subcontractors.
Work environment responsibility, often in the role of site safety manager.
Ensure that we comply with legal requirements, quality plans and environmental requirements.
Drive the project's finances and progress with a clear business focus.
Respond for project planning, resource needs and follow-up together with the organization.
We are Looking for Someone With the Following Experience and Qualifications:
Have documented experience independently managing water, construction or infrastructure projects as a site manager, or are an experienced work leader ready to take the next step.
Have experience with larger water and/or infrastructure projects, preferably with project volume (>10 MSEK) and with multiple parties, subcontractors and professional client organizations.
Are comfortable with contract law (AB 04, ABT 06) and can handle AMA/MER.
Have good understanding of project finance, own your projects and work independently, with support from the company's contract engineer and other support functions.
Respond for contract administration and change order management with both clients and subcontractors.
Are action-oriented, see opportunities to strengthen project profitability and have clear financial responsibility – with good experience in monitoring time, budget, KMA and ongoing results reporting.
Are a clear and communicative leader who builds trust both internally and externally.
Have good computer skills and a B driving license.
It is a strong merit if you have:
Good references from previous assignments as site manager in larger water, construction or infrastructure projects.
Experience with partnering.
Experience with public procurement projects.
A background where you worked practically, for example as equipment operator or machinery operator, at the beginning of your career.
