JOB DUTIES As one of two planning managers, you have a key role in developing and coordinating the Education Sector's local planning processes. Together you drive the work of coordinating, supporting, and developing local planning in close collaboration with managers and colleagues. With a long-term and strategic perspective, you ensure that the sector's future facility needs are met in an appropriate, sustainable, and cost-effective manner. The assignment includes being the sector's representative in work with facility changes, new construction, extensions, and renovations. You also play an important role in the sector's analysis, contributing to developing forecasts for future facility needs. Other investigative assignments within the unit's mandate may also occur. The planning managers also provide qualified support to principals and managers regarding facility and outdoor environment matters at preschools and schools. The work involves both independent tasks and collaboration in cross-functional teams. A central part of the position is close cooperation with the Infrastructure Sector, which includes the real estate organization and urban planning. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant university education and experience in similar assignments. You have experience within municipal administration, and it is a merit if you have previous professional experience within the sector's areas of operation. You have a good ability for holistic thinking and working results- and goal-oriented. You have good administrative skills and are skilled at planning and structuring your work. It is very important that you have analytical and creative ability, are receptive, service-oriented, and together with colleagues and managers see future societal challenges that affect facility needs. You have good communication skills and enjoy working both independently and with others. You are skilled at expressing yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish. We would like to see that you have experience in process and project management. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. A class B driving license is required.
