We are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Planning Director who wants to take overall responsibility for ensuring that World Animal Protection Sverige's vision and goals are translated into clear plans, efficient working methods, and concrete results. The role is central to creating collaboration between the organization's different functions and ensuring that resources, processes, and activities work toward shared goals. As Planning Director, you will be part of the management team and work closely with the Secretary General as well as managers and employees within the organization. You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on the organization's operational work. Through a strong holistic perspective, you ensure that operations work in a structured, efficient, and integrated manner to achieve both strategic and operational goals. Responsibilities: • Ensure that plans are developed and delivered to support the organization's strategic goals. • Ensure that relevant sub-goals and milestones are in place and tracked. • Coordinate operations so that plans are implemented and lead to desired results. • Create and develop integrated working methods between the organization's different functions – Programs, Campaigns, Fundraising, and Communications. • Oversee follow-up, evaluation, and risk management. • Actively contribute to the management team with focus on operations development, collaboration, and delivery. Work Tasks Work with the Secretary General to develop annual operational planning and create plans that support the organization's strategic goals. Participate in assisting the board with strategic planning. Ensure that work is based on global and national goals and mission. Define sub-goals, key activities, and milestones that create clear direction in operations. Follow up on the organization's implementation and identify needs for prioritization or corrective measures. Actively identify and develop opportunities for collaboration and integration between different functions and departments. Design and implement effective meeting and collaboration structures. Coordinate and distribute work tasks related to operational plans in dialogue with relevant employees. Develop methods for follow-up and evaluation of campaigns, projects, and processes. Contribute to the management team's strategic work and ensure that the organization's operational perspective is included in decision-making. What We're Looking For • At least 5–10 years of experience with qualified operations development and planning work. • Experience driving operational planning and translating strategies into operational plans. • Experience leading cross-functional work and creating collaboration between multiple operational areas. • Experience with follow-up, KPI management, results measurement, and operations evaluation. • Experience from the nonprofit sector, international organizations, or membership organizations is a merit. Knowledge • Strong knowledge of operations management and strategic planning. • Understanding of project management, process development, and change management. • Ability to analyze complex information and translate it into clear priorities. • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Other Information The position is a full-time employment for an indefinite period with a 6-month probationary period.
