PHP Developer at Car.info – Build and optimize Sweden's most complete vehicle database
Do you love data, advanced code, and building stable integration flows? At Car.info, we're passionate about collecting, structuring, and delivering Sweden's best vehicle data. We're now looking for a high-level PHP developer who wants to take clear ownership of our external data inflows, drive our scraping efforts, and develop the engine behind our data platform.
About the role
As a developer within data collection and scraping, you'll step directly into the core of our operations. You'll work on automatically retrieving, processing, and structuring large amounts of information from a broad spectrum of sources and APIs, while ensuring our pipelines deliver the highest data quality around the clock.
Development & Architecture: Build and optimize scalable scrapers and systems for data collection and parsing in PHP.
Operations & Monitoring: Ensure high availability in our scraping flows, monitor source changes, and build robust error handling.
Integration puzzle-solving: Analyze network traffic, structure unorganized data, and handle complex calls and authentications.
Data integration: Clean, validate, and transform collected information from our scrapers for seamless storage in our databases.
Your profile
You have a few years of experience in professional PHP development and are driven by technical challenges where performance, structure, and data quality are at the center.
4+ years of experience with modern PHP (8+) and work with complex data integrations or scraping.
Solid understanding of the HTTP protocol, REST/SOAP APIs, DOM structures, and analysis via DevTools.
Experience with cURL, proxies, and custom request structures.
Proficient in SQL (e.g., MySQL/MariaDB) and version control in Git.
Bonus: Knowledge of queue systems (RabbitMQ/Redis), Docker, headless browsers (Puppeteer/Playwright), or asynchronous PHP.
Strong with Regex.
