No. 90000068977 announces a competition for vacant scientific personnel positions: FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY Institute of Biomaterials and Bioengineering one (1) RESEARCHER position (1 full-time equivalent) – Field: Engineering Sciences and Technologies 2.5. Materials Science, Biomaterials sub-field. Requirements for candidates: · PhD in materials science; · ability to independently conduct scientific research and lead scientific research work; · knowledge and experience in developing and manufacturing new in vitro prototypes with bone-like biomaterials; · knowledge and experience in platelet-rich fibrin synthesis, characterization and application; · knowledge and experience in collagen extraction, characterization and sample preparation; · knowledge and experience in calcium phosphate synthesis, characterization and application; · experience in compiling and publishing scientific data, minimum 9 publications (indexed in SCOPUS) in the last 5 years; · English language knowledge and skills at B2 level for performing international work duties. Salary from 3116.82 EUR per month for full-time position. Candidates wishing to participate in the competition must submit electronically to Riga Technical University's Personnel Management Department (signed with a secure electronic signature) to the email address ([email protected]): an application addressed to the Rector regarding participation in the competition; a CV detailing scientific, pedagogical, organizational work experience and a list of published works from the last 6 (six) years (it is recommended to attach the list of published works as a separate appendix), as well as other documents that the candidate wishes to attach to the application to more fully describe their qualifications; copies of documents confirming scientific/academic degrees or higher education and, if necessary, other documents specified in regulatory acts (for example, documents confirming state language proficiency, etc.), presenting their originals if the candidate is participating in the competition at RTU for the first time and has not previously submitted copies of these documents to the Personnel Department; a public presentation of their scientific activities, which must be presented to the structural unit (or council/board) in a timely manner before election. The competition deadline is one month from the date of publication of the announcement on the Employment State Agency website and in the National Scientific Activity Information System.
