This is a customized assistant role for you who want to combine your pedagogical talent with a deep commitment to one child's full development and learning, while having a great time! The work involves being mentally active and working through pedagogical challenges! You analyze, test ideas, create your own materials, teach and learn, evaluate and adjust until you find what works for this individual. Your assignment as a personal assistant to a school-age child will be to develop reading, writing, mathematics, communication, problem-solving, independent thinking and all kinds of intellectual activity at the right level. The child is often misunderstood because of uneven abilities and difficulties in communicating them. The child's actual abilities are often greater than what the surroundings manage to discover. Therefore, one of your most important tasks is to ensure that they become visible. You interpret in both directions. A large part of the role is also to keep the child safe in all the ways it means for this particular individual. You are responsible for the child's all needs throughout the school day. You are also responsible for constant supervision. You stay one step ahead, identify risks and analyze situations quickly. At the same time, you help the child dare to try on their own and develop ever greater independence without compromising safety. The difference between a student assistant and this role is that you work for and with the child – not for the school. Therefore, the assignment is based on deep personal knowledge. Previous experience with functional variations and low-affect interaction is not essential in this assignment. You learn how this particular child thinks, communicates, motivates and absorbs new knowledge. You then use that knowledge to turn every lesson and every situation during the school day into an opportunity for development. You talk continuously with the child. You put words to what you do, what happens, what the child sees and wonders about. You know that language develops through use. You are both physically and intellectually active, attentive, stay close and are quick to act. If you enjoy teaching, innovative methodology, problem-solving, repetition and finding new ways when others get stuck, you will likely love this assignment. Working hours, employment level and salary: The current employment form is "as long as the assistance assignment lasts." We are now seeking two personal assistants for the team, with an employment level of approximately 75–100% by agreement. The work is governed by a rolling schedule for weekdays and covers assistance both at school and during afternoon/evening. Core hours: 08:25–22:00 Shift distribution: Work shifts have a break point at 13:30. This means you either work shorter shifts (morning or afternoon/evening) or full-day shifts covering the entire day. Introduction and training: Start date and introduction take place by agreement before the actual schedule comes into effect in early September.
