About the job as a personal assistant
As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. You assist and support the person both in everyday activities and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the client is, and your work tasks essentially involve assisting the client so that they have the conditions to live the life they wish.
Work responsibilities
We are now seeking a trustworthy, responsible, and engaged personal assistant for our child client.
As a personal assistant, you become an important person in our client's life, and your primary task is to create security and trust.
Our client is now looking for an assistant to work awake night shifts, but is also open to occasionally filling in for evening shifts.
The boy has epilepsy, so experience with this is a merit, but the most important thing is that you are comfortable following instructions and routines related to epilepsy and other aspects of the assistance. You will receive an introduction and the knowledge needed for the assignment.
We are looking for you if you:
are a non-smoker, are responsible and thorough, you are a trustworthy and stable adult. It is nice if you have previously worked as a personal assistant, but it is not a requirement.
You need to be able to work independently while also maintaining close collaboration with the boy's family and other important people in his life. As an assistant, you also need to have a Class B driver's license.
At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction with the client and have access to training for the role of personal assistant.
About the employment
The employment is for a fixed term as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and the pay structure is hourly wages. Working hours vary based on the client's needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays as well as weekends.
