Then you should apply for the position as hourly substitute within personal assistance for our client in Trelleborg. We now need to expand our team with an hourly position and are looking for someone who is responsible and engaged in their work, while also being humble and secure as a person. An important and meaningful job where you as an assistant make it possible for our client to have a meaningful day – every day! The client is a young man, 28 years old, who has autism and an intellectual disability. As an assistant, you need to be responsive and adaptable. You need to approach the work with a strong desire to understand our client and his needs and with great respect for his integrity. You need to be engaged and communicative as it is very important for the client to both be understood and have the opportunity to understand based on his capabilities. He has a great need for physical activities, which requires you to be someone who enjoys physical movement and activity. At the same time, you need to be calm and sometimes be able to handle periods of inactivity. We have a team around our client, but need to expand it and are looking for someone who collaborates with their colleagues and has a pedagogical approach. You can guide and motivate when needed while also stepping back when necessary. Your work tasks include supporting and strengthening the client in daily chores, planning and structuring through the client's visual supports. We actively work with visual supports as a way to create predictability and clarity in everyday life. For our client, visual support is a compass in life. Assistant's Role and Experience As a person, you should be positive and solution-focused. It is important that you are secure in yourself and have a great deal of personal maturity. It is a great advantage if you have experience, knowledge and understanding of working with people on the autism spectrum. The right personal qualities make up a large part of suitability. You will receive an introduction that will be continuously followed up; we will create a joint plan so that you and the client feel secure together. The introduction includes attending our introductory training and then continuing with our other trainings. The trainings are mandatory and an important part for you to gain competence and tools to truly succeed in your work. Flexibility regarding working hours is something that is required; this is of course something that comes from both sides. You are an important resource for us, which means we value you and your free time, but sometimes it will be necessary for you to step in with short notice when your colleagues are absent. We believe in strong teamwork; this is created through availability, presence, and helpfulness at all levels. Working hours will be 15:00-09:00 with awake nights. Since the client has his own car that is actively used in daily life, it is required that you have a driver's license.
