About the Position
Personal assistance is a service under LSS (Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). In your role as a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to a smooth-running everyday life. Each assistance is uniquely adapted based on the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
The client is a 70-year-old woman living in her own apartment in Kållekärr on Tjörn. The client has MS and uses a wheelchair. She enjoys taking walks, playing games, and listening to music, primarily dance band music. The work involves considerable personal care and transfers. The client prefers female applicants, as the work involves considerable personal care, but all applications will be considered. As a personal assistant for her, you need to be calm and confident in yourself, while also being able to take your own initiative in daily life and encourage the client to participate in activities.
Who Are You?
The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client.
For this position, you must have:
Very good knowledge of Swedish in speaking, writing, and comprehension
B-category driving license and access to your own car (if you do not live in Kållekärr)
Education or extensive experience in care, personal assistance, or similar
Good physical fitness and ability to perform transfers
For this position, it is an advantage if you:
have experience with similar work
share the client's interests in walks, playing games, bingo
Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary
Option 1: SLUV
The current form of employment is "temporary contract" with an employment level of approximately 85%. Start immediately until 2028-03-31. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and night. Rolling 2-week schedule with on-call 4 hours/night 23:00-03:00.
Week 1 Monday 14:30-21:00 / Tuesday 20:00-09:00 / Friday, Saturday and Sunday 20:00-09:00 Week 2 Tuesday 14:30-21:00 / Wednesday and Thursday 20:00-09:00
In addition to scheduled working hours, there is an opportunity to work extra as needed.
Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation in accordance with collective agreement.
