We are now seeking a personal assistant to work as a substitute on an as-needed basis for our wonderful young woman in Bro. We are looking for someone with strong commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities. Our client needs assistance with most aspects of daily life, such as personal care and hygiene, help with mobility, and support during all activities both at home and outside the home. She has an intellectual disability and some communication is conducted using tactile signs. The client also has a visual impairment, so the assistant needs to be present at all times. As an assistant, you are the client's extended arm in everyday life. The client attends school Monday through Friday, where the school addresses her needs. We particularly welcome female applicants for this position, and it is a merit if you have experience in personal care work and knowledge of epilepsy. You must have fluent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. There is a pet in the home (cat). Your other job duties: Tasks common to the profession. It can range from individualized personal care to household chores. Assistance is provided primarily in the client's home but also during outdoor activities. You work in a supportive and motivating manner. Training is provided on-site and through Monument Assistans. A family member of the client is involved in the selection process and will have access to applications. Monument Assistans always requests a criminal record extract before employment.
