Personal Assistant for 19-Year-Old Woman
We are looking for you to work with people and to work as a personal assistant with us.
You will work with a cheerful 19-year-old woman who lives with her parents in Vidingsjö. She is curious, social, and enjoys participating in various activities. In her free time, she enjoys crafts, taking walks, and going on outings by car.
The woman has a significant functional disability and a great need for support in her daily life. In the role of personal assistant, you will help her with transfers and personal care, as she is unable to sit or stand on her own. She does not have the ability to speak, but communicates through facial expressions and body language, which requires you to be attentive and have a good ability to interpret her signals.
Medical experience is an asset, as she has a daily need for several medications. She also uses an inhaler, and all fluid intake is provided via PEG, which is vital for her. Although medical experience is a merit, it is not a requirement—what matters most is that you are curious and willing to learn.
About the Position and Working Hours:
We are currently looking for personal assistants who can work extra as needed when regular staff are on leave or absent.
Working hours are scheduled for daytime and afternoon/evening between 08:00 and 22:00, according to a fixed schedule.
In addition to covering for regular staff absences, there is also an opportunity for the right assistant to work a few fixed shifts each week.
Recurring shifts that need to be staffed are:
One weekday per week, alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays, 16:00–22:00
Saturdays, 08:00–14:00
Sundays, 15:30–22:00
*We would view it positively if you could also work Tuesdays and Wednesdays for shorter morning shifts starting from 06:00
To be suitable for this position, we would like to see that you have the ability and interest in staying with us for a longer period. This position is suitable, for example, for you if you are studying or have another job that you can combine with working as a personal assistant with us.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is attentive and has social skills, as you will need to interpret the client's needs and communicate with the parents in the home.
You will need physical capacity, as some strength and technique are required when assisting with transfers to and from a wheelchair.
