What does the job entail?
Our 15-year-old client lives with his parents and siblings in Jönköping. He has extensive needs for support, assistance, and help in his daily life. Tasks that occur in this assignment include personal care, medication administration, tube feeding, and assisting with various activities. Sometimes healthcare-related care is also required, which demands your attention and ability to interpret signals and notice changes in his well-being.
As an assistant, you need to be proactive and come up with activities that stimulate and engage him. Since he does not have verbal communication, it is important that you are attentive and responsive to the signals he communicates in other ways.
Your workplace is wherever the client is located—at home, at school, at the respite care facility, or during activities such as swimming.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is confident, calm, attentive, and creative. You take initiative easily and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. For you and the family to work well together, good judgment, integrity, and respect are essential.
Double assistance occurs in the assignment on weekends, but you also need to feel comfortable working independently. To be considered for this position, you must be a non-smoker, understand and communicate fluently in Swedish, and not be allergic to cats or claws, as pets are in the home and swimming is an activity.
We would like you to have previous experience as a personal assistant, in care work, or in educational activities. Great weight is placed on your personal qualities and ensuring you and our client are a good fit together.
