We are now seeking a personal assistant as needed when the family is at their country home in Tierp. The girl loves animals and especially horses. She rides in her free time and enjoys spending time at the stable. She also likes to play around, play, and dance. The girl has difficult-to-treat epilepsy and mild intellectual disability. This means she needs active supervision and requires someone by her side at all times. As an assistant, you need to be able to read situations, be alert to potential risks, and stay one step ahead to adapt the environment around her to eliminate potential dangers during a seizure. The girl can usually express her own needs and is clear about what she feels and appreciates visual support as a complement to speech. It is through play that you capture her interest and motivation. As an assistant, you need to feel comfortable playing around and playing. What we are looking for in you: We are looking for someone who is confident in yourself and can handle stressful situations and act quickly. You need to be focused, attentive, and have good reaction time. The work takes place at the family's country home, which places demands on attentiveness, respect, and the ability to adapt to others' routines and needs. You need to be able to be professional while being a natural part of everyday life. The girl is a cheerful and energetic girl who loves to dance, play, and play games. She has a lot of imagination and likes to move between different activities during the day. We see that you have an understanding of the girl's functional variations. The family always strives for the child to live as much as possible like all other children, which is why it is important that you as an assistant have the same goal. Things to consider: The girl has mild intellectual disability and epilepsy, which means: Daily seizures (often brief but unpredictable) Need for constant presence and attention You need to be able to act quickly and calmly to prevent falls and injuries - During seizures, the girl can fall quickly and without warning. Examples of tasks that may occur: Personal hygiene and care Be present and adapt the surroundings for the customer so she doesn't hurt herself if she has an epileptic seizure Play board games Participate in daily activities at home. You need to be attentive, responsible, and flexible. Meritorious: Previous experience in personal assistance or working with children/young people with functional variations. Experience with epilepsy or NPF is advantageous but not required. Personal suitability is decisive.
