Sydassistans is now seeking a dedicated and responsible personal assistant for a 29-year-old man with a congenital muscle disease, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which requires him to have 24/7 assistance. You will be an important part of his daily life and help him live a meaningful and active life. The man lives in a house in Malmö with his parents and younger brother. There are cats in the household, so you cannot be allergic.
About our client: The man is cheerful, talkative, curious, inquisitive, and interested in learning. His main interests are motor vehicles, Lego, video games, retro items, and what's happening in the world around him. He enjoys watching documentaries, historical programs, and in his free time he swims at public pools, goes to movies, museums, exhibitions, etc. He has a zest for life and energy that is contagious, and we are now looking for you who share that same enthusiasm and commitment.
Your responsibilities: As a personal assistant, you will help with everything in daily life such as:
· Personal hygiene
· Practical tasks at home and elsewhere (cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, errands, etc.)
· Support in structuring and organizing.
· Support in creating and following daily routines.
· Social support, often in situations that arise in interaction with other people.
· Support for a fulfilling life.
Work hours: The work follows a rotating 4-week schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts.
We are also seeking a substitute assistant who can work during vacations and sick leave.
