About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's autonomy and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. The client is a 23-year-old man living in Kungsholmen in Stockholm. He has autism, which means he needs a trustworthy assistant who supports him in navigating daily life in a structured and predictable way. As a personal assistant, you are a crucial part in enabling his active lifestyle and interests. Work tasks vary, but the focus is on providing social and practical support. He is an active person who enjoys long walks. When he is at home, puzzles are one of his major interests. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who is stable and trustworthy with a great deal of attentiveness and commitment. Since the client is active and enjoys long walks, we are looking for someone with good physical fitness and who enjoys being on the move. At the same time, you need to possess inner calm and have the patience required to sit down and focus together with the client at the puzzle table. You take initiative easily and see what needs to be done in the moment for everyday life to run smoothly. Great importance is placed on personal chemistry and approach. For this position, you must have: Good knowledge of Swedish or English Experience working with autism Experience and knowledge in managing challenging behavior Be completely smoke-free during working hours For this position, it is advantageous if you: Have training or experience in low-arousal approaches Share the client's interests in long walks and puzzles Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is hourly employment as needed, with an extent of approximately 30 hours per week. Working hours are primarily scheduled on weekdays with the following times: Morning/late morning: 08:00–14:00 Afternoon/evening: 12:00–18:00 The times are flexible and adaptable based on your availability – there is good opportunity to work either the earlier or later shift. There are also good opportunities to take extra shifts during daytime on weekends if desired. Fixed hourly rate by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
