Would you like to work broadly with qualified HR matters at a leading university? We are looking for an HR specialist who wants to work with operational and strategic HR issues in a knowledge-intensive and socially important operation. You will have an important role in providing qualified support to managers on employment-related matters and at the same time contribute to development work for effective and appropriate HR support to the university. The HR Department is part of the university's central operations support and works with strategic and consultative support to university management, institutions, and departments. We are approximately 35 employees who together help strengthen the university's position as an internationally leading institution for research and education. More information about us can be found here: HR Department. Job Responsibilities As an HR specialist, you provide qualified and business-oriented support to the university's managers. You work broadly within HR and guide managers on both ongoing and more complex matters including labor law, work environment, organizational change, rehabilitation, recruitment, competence supply, negotiation, and salary formation. The employer responsibility at the university is decentralized and the HR Department works primarily in a consultative manner. This means that you independently provide advice, guide managers, and contribute various perspectives and alternative courses of action so that they are well-equipped to act in their role as employer and make well-founded decisions. You work close to the operations and build trustful relationships, while also collaborating closely with your nearest colleagues and the department's specialists in areas such as labor law, salary formation, work environment, and management and leadership development. Part of the assignment is also to contribute to the development of the university's common HR work. This may include participating in the development of processes and methods, conducting or participating in training initiatives, and deepening your knowledge in or taking particular responsibility for one of the department's areas of responsibility. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to longer-term and strategic issues relating to, for example, competence supply, organization, and business development at the university-wide level. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: has higher education within HR/personnel matters or other relevant academic education that the employer deems equivalent has several years of experience in qualified HR work has very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing has good ability to communicate in English in speech and writing. Meritorious in-depth knowledge and experience within one or more areas included in the position experience from a government agency and/or the university and higher education sector. Personal Qualities To do a good job, you need to be confident, trustworthy, and solution-oriented in your advisory role. You can independently analyze situations, identify alternative courses of action, and provide managers with clear and well-founded advice. You have good pedagogical and communication skills and can make complex regulations understandable and useful for different target groups. The role involves many contact points and you therefore need to find it easy to build good relationships and collaborate with both managers, colleagues, and other parts of the organization. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and enjoy switching between operational matters and development work. About the Position The employment is permanent full-time with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
