The Educator Role
The overall purpose and objective of the position is that our participants, with the help of individually adapted pedagogical support (IPSU), can become self-reliant and complete educational initiatives with satisfactory results.
We are seeking an educator for hourly employment on a part-time basis in Västervik. Working hours are planned according to a schedule provided in advance, giving you good advance notice and clarity regarding your work volume each week.
As an educator, you support individual participants who have functional variation and participate in education programs through Arbetsförmedlingen (Swedish Public Employment Service). Support is provided in the specific areas where the participant needs help—that is, through pedagogical interventions and work with assistive technology. Based on the needs in the educational situation, IPSU is customized with the right expertise, pedagogical interventions and assistive technology for each participant. You work with participants at educational facilities. Travel to various educational locations occurs.
You are part of a team with additional educators in the nearby area as well as with specialists and coordinators. To thrive in the role, you feel comfortable working independently with participants, are solution-focused and flexible. Communication, feedback and building good relationships with participants, colleagues, customers and others come naturally to you.

Requirements
Work Experience
Documented experience working with persons with functional variation in an educational setting for at least 1 year. This means you have experience as a teacher, teacher's assistant, student assistant or similar role in a school environment.
Documented experience working with cognitive assistive technology in an educational setting for at least 1 year—that is, you have used assistive technology in your work with students.
Work experience must be verified with a reference from a previous employer.
Educational Requirements
Relevant education in pedagogy and/or work with persons with functional variation. Proficiency in Swedish language, both spoken and written.
