Jūrmala Municipal Police (Reg. No. 90000056554) invites you to join our team HEAD OF PREVENTION AND RESPONSE DEPARTMENT (Professional Classification 1349 08) We are looking for an experienced, strategically minded, and responsible leader ready to ensure the overall operation of the Prevention and Response Department, its sustainable development, efficient management, and strengthening of public safety in Jūrmala. The Prevention and Response Department comprises three interconnected structural units: - Patrol Police Group (response); - Operational Information Center (operational information flow, video surveillance, prevention); - District Inspector Group (prevention, APAS, and response). The Department Head's responsibility is to ensure purposeful, coordinated, and results-oriented operation of these units, focusing not only on addressing current issues but also on risk forecasting, prevention, and development planning. If you have experience in police or law enforcement, the ability to manage multi-level structures, make strategic decisions, and build effective teamwork – we are looking for you. Key job responsibilities: • Ensure overall management of the Prevention and Response Department, including work planning, coordination, and supervision of all subordinate structural units; • Analyze operational situations, compile and evaluate information, improve department work tactics, methods and response models, and provide professional development training; • Regularly assess department performance results, identify risks and problem areas, and plan and implement development measures; • Organize and monitor preventive measures based on analysis of causes of administrative violations and contributing circumstances; • Ensure supervision of administrative violation case procedures and control of procedural actions; • Ensure effective public order and safety surveillance, including participation in patrols; • Develop annual work plans for the Prevention and Response Department and ensure their implementation. Requirements for candidates: • Compliance with requirements of Article 21, Part 1 of the Law "On Police"; • Higher education (education in law will be considered an advantage); • Professional development training certificates; • Experience in police work and in a leadership or coordinating position; • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to make responsible decisions; • Experience in process, team, and change management; • Good communication, collaboration, and leadership skills; • Knowledge of the state language at an advanced level; • Category B driver's license (driving experience of at least 3 years).
