At the Department of Technology and Services, we're responsible for what keeps Enköping running – from water and roads to public spaces and services. We plan, build, and manage with a focus on sustainability, quality, and integrity. We're now seeking an experienced parks engineer for the Public Spaces division. The Public Spaces division is responsible for planning, development, operations, and management of the municipality's public environments – such as streets, squares, pedestrian and cycling paths, parks, and other socially important infrastructure. We work both strategically and operatively to create safe, functional, and attractive environments for residents and visitors. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a parks engineer, you'll be an important expert and collaborative partner in developing, managing, and creating attractive, sustainable, and functional outdoor environments in Enköping Municipality. The role is broad and varied and encompasses both strategic and operational tasks within parks and urban environment areas. You'll work with, among other things: • Planning, development, and design of parks, green spaces, plantings, and other public environments as well as seasonal decorations. • Development of plant proposals, design ideas, and improvements for the municipality's green spaces, such as the municipality's flower concept. • Participation in the municipality's investment and development projects as an expert in parks, vegetation, and urban environment. • Review of drawings, documents, and project materials and support on planning and implementation matters. • Procurement, ordering, invoice management, follow-up, and quality assurance of contracts, operations, and maintenance efforts. • Coordination and development of working methods to ensure long-term sustainable, attractive, and well-maintained public spaces. • Dialog and cooperation with residents, contractors, consultants, associations, and other internal and external stakeholders. • Participation in municipal events (such as planning of garden day), information initiatives, and activities related to parks, nature, and urban environment. The role may also develop over time based on the department's needs and your experience, competencies, and areas of interest. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: Educated horticulturist engineer or landscape engineer or equivalent education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. Driver's license category B. You have good digital skills and see digital tools as a natural part of business development and efficiency. You're accustomed to working in different management systems and find it easy to learn new digital tools and methods. Experience with plant design. Meritorious knowledge: Documented education in design and garden design. Practical experience with plant design and planting. Experience conducting guided tours. Experience with citizen contact.
