JOB DUTIES
As a park worker in the Technical Department, you work with maintenance and care of the municipality's parks, playgrounds, green areas, and outdoor environments at municipal properties such as schools, preschools, retirement homes, care facilities, and other municipal buildings. The position also includes winter road maintenance.
Job duties include, among other things:
• Maintenance of grass areas, flower beds, plantings, trees, and shrubs.
• Weeding, planting, pruning, and watering.
• Supervision and maintenance of playgrounds and outdoor environments.
• Cleaning and litter collection in parks, green areas, and around municipal properties.
• Maintenance of pathways, squares, entrance areas, and other paved surfaces.
• Maintenance of green areas around schools, preschools, retirement homes, and other municipal operations.
• Snow removal and anti-icing of pathways, entrances, parking areas, and other prioritized surfaces during winter.
• Handling of hand tools and machines such as grass trimmer, hedge shears, leaf blower, riding mower, tool carrier, and other common work machines.
Participation in other work tasks within the Technical Department as needed. Work is performed primarily outdoors during all seasons and can periodically be physically demanding. Service needs vary over time, which means that work tasks and planning can sometimes change.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have
• Upper secondary education in horticulture, natural resource management, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience in park and green area maintenance, property maintenance, or similar activities.
• B-class driving license for manual transmission.
• Knowledge of plants, pruning, and maintenance of green areas.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish orally and in writing.
• Basic digital skills.

Meritorious
• Experience from municipal park, property, or street operations.
• Experience with snow removal and winter road maintenance.
• Work on road (level 1 and 2 or equivalent).
• Chainsaw cutting card RA/RB.
• Chainsaw driving license A-B.
• Experience with green area machines, tool carriers, and smaller contracting equipment.
• BE-class driving license.
• Experience in supervision and maintenance of playgrounds.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
