We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a positive work environment and who thrives in an environment where collaboration and responsibility go hand in hand. The Operations Unit is responsible for the maintenance of Falun Municipality's parks and green areas.
Job Duties
As a park maintenance worker with us, you will be part of a dedicated team working together to keep our parks and green spaces beautiful and well-maintained. Your duties will include lawn care, flower beds and shrubs such as perennials and bushes, playgrounds, hard surfaces, and litter collection. Planting, pruning, and watering are also part of the work. The work uses hand tools and machines such as grass trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge shears, larger ride-on mowers, and more.
The work is performed outdoors, which requires the ability to deliver results regardless of weather conditions. The work can also be physically demanding. Conditions can sometimes change quickly and planning may need to be adjusted, so we see that you are flexible as a person and can quickly adapt to new circumstances.
Time tracking and task management in the municipality's operations system via mobile phone and tablet are part of the daily work.
Qualifications
For this role, the following are required:
High school education in horticulture or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Class B driver's license for manual transmission
Plant and pruning knowledge
Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written

Experience with public outdoor environments or municipal park operations
Road work level 1-2
Brushing saw certificate RA/RB
Chainsaw operator certificate A-B-C
Experience handling green area machinery
Class BE driver's license
Employment Terms
Permanent full-time employment. Start date by agreement.
